Circular Saw Cross Cut Jig// How To

I have been wanting to cross cut for a long time but I don't have a miter saw, so, I decided to make a user and budget friendly jig that everyone can access and that's the "circular saw cross cut jig" I hope you enjoy. If you want to, you can download my plans HERE.

I first cut down all of my plywood dimensions.

Then I drilled the holes on the 2x2s.

Be sure to countersink them as well.

Now I am attaching the back fence to the base and I am using a square (red arrow) to make sure it's square to the base although it's not necessary because it's the back fence.

Because the 2x2 I am using has a little bow to it, I am using a clamp to straighten out the wood and then screw it down to the base.

Then, I attached the front fence to the base and attached the riding rail to the 2x2 (front fence).

I tacked some pin nails to the riding rail to hold the fence rail in place. (The fence rail is the fence that rides against the circular saw)

Then I can cut off the excess riding rail.

The excess riding rail can be used as the fence rail.

Then I repeated the process and tack in the fence rail to the riding rail with some pin nails.

Then I lined the rails to the 2x2 using the circular saw to make sure I have the right amount of space for it to ride but enough space to run smoothly.
