How to Make a Writing Desk

This is a simple project made for my girlfriend. She didn't have a desk at home so I decided to make one for her. Anyway, the construction of this project is very simple. There are two parts: the table top and the legs. I wanted this furniture to be modern and clean, so I drew up a quick design in SketchUp and began working. The tabletop is a simple box with a divider in the middle. The legs are two frames connected with three support braces. Overall, project went by smoothly (although I did A LOT of sanding) and I gave the table top two coats of water-based polyurethane after I gave the table top three coats of white latex paint. The legs I gave only two coats of satin black latex paint with no protective finish.
